Lafayette County Clocktower Restoration

Project Overview

Historic restoration of the clocktower at the Lafayette County Courthouse, originally built in 1908. The tower was removed in four sections and rebuilt to State of Florida historic preservation standards.

Scope of Work

Restoration of the courthouse clocktower, carefully removed in four separate parts: the copper cupola (1,500 lbs), the clocktower (9,600 lbs), the belfry (15,000 lbs) and the bell. The entire bell tower, including the clock mechanisms, was rebuilt pursuant to State of Florida standards for historic preservation.
