Education and institutional work in Columbia County
Four of our five Columbia County projects are education facilities, three for the school district and one for Florida Gateway College. Between them they cover new construction, an auditorium, a food services facility and a higher-education STEM building, and they were delivered under construction management at-risk.
School construction has constraints that do not appear in a generic commercial project. The calendar is fixed and unforgiving. Portions of the campus stay occupied by students. Separation of construction traffic from student access is a safety requirement, not a preference. Some buildings carry enhanced wind ratings or emergency shelter classification because the campus doubles as a public shelter.
